This is a documentary-fiction story about a city in the future. 

What would happen if artificial intelligence (AI) took over our urban planning or building architecture? How would our living spaces would in 100 or 1000 years?

The photographer asks questions about the meaning of AI in the future, and encourages reflection on the borders of the documentary genre, as well as the human as the author of a work of art. 

The analog photography series was taken in Riga, Latvia, and reflects modern living spaces and architecture that, with the help of AI, is transformed into future visions. The series shows unfinished buildings and long-forgotten places that mirror our times. 

Each photograph is generated using an actual image that is fed into an AI system and combined with the prompting phrase “This is paradise in the future.”
